Luba Paskova received her Master’s Degree in Music from the Saint-Petersburg Academy of the Arts, Russia, where she studied piano with Tatiana Lupikina.
As a part time professor at Salisbury University, MD, Luba has been teaching Piano Lab class,Applied Piano, and online Music Theory courses since the fall of 2006. She regularly performs at SU Music Department's faculty recitals. In the past, she performed at WSCL Public Radio Delmarva's The Celebration of Music concert (2006, 2007), at Asbury Church and at the Summer Music Improvisation Camp at the Columbia University, NY (2010). Recently, she performed as a keyboardist in the SU theater production of Rock Opera 'Jesus Christ Super Star'.
Prof. Paskova has organized the annual recital of Celebration of Great Composers, for local piano students, at SU for the past 15 years, which has served as a fundraising event for the Salisbury University Performing Arts Fund.
She has also spent numerous hours volunteering as the local chairperson for Piano Guild Auditions (American College of Musicians) since 2001, and as the representative for Royal Conservatory Certificate Program Assessments in Salisbury since 2012. Luba Paskova is a member of the Salisbury Wicomico Arts Council board since 2015, actively involved with promoting SWAC's fundraising Classic for a Cause concert and other musical events.
Luba is a respected and dedicated piano coach of all levels and ages, from beginning children and adults, to very advanced young pianists. Her students demonstrate solid technical and musical skills. Being an active performer herself, she motivates her students to participate at SU Music Department recitals, National Piano Guild Auditions, Royal Conservatory Certificate program and other different musical venues. |
